Mergers and acquisitions

Mergers and acquisitions (abbreviated M&A) refers to the aspect of corporate strategy, corporate finance and management dealing with the buying, selling, dividing and combining of different companies and similar entities that can help an enterprise grow rapidly in its sector or location of origin, or a new field or new location, without creating a subsidiary, other child entity or using a joint venture. The distinction between a "merger" and an "acquisition" has become increasingly blurred in various respects (particularly in terms of the ultimate economic outcome), although it has not completely disappeared in all situations.

A Good Saturday Morning read. Lots of jargon but dont be perturbed, you will feel a whole lot more better once you realise
how much lighter your pocket will feel at the end of each month. I guess the chief talking point has not been
the slight shrinking defecit or the increasing social spend, or corruption, or the fact that for the first time the budget exceeded the Trilion Rand mark. [Rather astonishing].
But the focus has been on the GFIP. Also Known as the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project. There has been hilarious
banter and commentry from the know all corner. One thing though remains, and that unfortunatly is the reality that we will be paying R0.30 p/km to use the highways around Gauteng. as at April 30th.
